RESERVE A TIME SLOT
To facilitate a positive and relaxed experience for visitors and families, we are implementing a timed ticketing system allowing entry for guests at designated times throughout the day.
-
Visitors may sign up for a designated entry time during the day upon registration. This helps reduce lines and wait times for activities.
There are four entry times throughout the day, at 11AM, 12PM, 1PM and 2PM, giving you the flexibility to plan your visit.
There is no time restriction for how long you can enjoy the fair and museum, but Lunar New Year activities close at 3PM.
-
You will be able to select a preferred entry time for your party on our event registration page. Time slots are available on a first-come first-served basis.
On the ticketing page, click “Other Times…” to select other time slots.
Look for our “PRE-CHECK” sign on a white tent on King St during the Lion Dance. Show your printed or digital tickets to get your wristbands early and skip the line when the doors open. Timed Ticket Admission is also available at the white tent from 9AM - 11:30AM. Staff and volunteers will check your wristbands upon entry for access to indoor exhibits and activities.

Please book your experience with at least 3 weeks advance notice as tour availability fills quickly.
GUIDED GALLERY TOUR
Recommended for grades K-2
Our new exhibit in our KidsPlace Gallery celebrates Food, Family, and Fun in New Years All Year Round.
Did you know that people prepare and eat special foods to celebrate the new year?
Students are invited to hear stories surrounding the meanings and symbolism behind traditional foods and learn about other traditions to welcome good luck for the upcoming year.
NEIGHBORHOOD WALKING TOUR
Recommended for grades 3-12
Organize a memorable field trip for your students through Seattle's Chinatown International District to learn more about the celebrations and traditions that take place in our community for this special time of year.
The walking tour is 90 minutes long, with no more than 1-mile walking distance and slight uphill inclines.
A one-hour preset lunch can be included as a part of the experience and takes place at a local restaurant. The lunch menu includes a rice dish, noodle dish, veggie dish, chicken dish, and appetizer. Food allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated with 1-week advance notice.
VIRTUAL TOURS
Can’t join us in person? We can bring our Lunar New Year celebrations to your classroom through our virtual Lunar New Year tours.
Students learn about the stories and folktales that have inspired traditions and celebrations across communities, virtually explore our New Years All Year Round exhibit and get a peek into the music, dance, and performing arts that help us ring in the new year and learn how to make a snake-themed craft to welcome in the Year of the Snake.
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
New volunteers are always welcome to submit an application that includes skills you’re interested in sharing with the community or skills you’d like to learn or exercise in a professional arts organization!
New and current volunteers interested in events should submit an application and specify in their application their preferred shift/event position.
