Join us as we pay tribute to the Filipino pioneers who operated businesses in the CID through a presentation by Wing Luke Museum Preservation Consultant Cynthia Mejia-Giudici and highlighting these five sites: CDA Burgos Lodge #10, Filipino Social and Improvement Club, Liberty Barbershop, Little Divisoria and Manila Cafe.

Please note: This event was a zoom program in June 2024, but it was just too good to pass up the opportunity for a hybrid presentation on-site at the Wing Luke Museum!

Community members who lived and worked in the CID will be in attendance to share their stories, including Marian “Bengie” Santos; Feda Sumulong; Pio deCano, Jr., and Dorothy Cordova.

Sponsored by 4Culture and the Tateuchi Foundation.

Community Partners: Ethnic Heritage Council, the Filipino American National Historic Society (FANHS), and FANHS Greater Seattle Chapter.
