ETH-NOH-TEC TAKASHI’S DREAM
IN CONJUNCTION WITH FROM HIROSHIMA TO HOPE (FOR MATURE AUDIENCES)
Saturday, August 6, 2022 | 11AM & Ongoing through Aug. 13 | VIRTUAL
To educate for peace and in conjunction with the From Hiroshima to Hope Lantern Floating on Green Lake, Eth-Noh-Tec has a very special story, Takashi’s Dream. This is the inspiring true story of one man's journey from a place of hatred and revenge to a place of forgiveness and peace. His name is Takashi Tanemori, a "hibakusha" (atom bomb survivor).
In 1945 the US government dropped atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, beginning an era that continues today to threaten our world. In 1999, the performing artists, Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-Noh-Tec met Mr. Tanemori on a peace pilgrimage for a Nuclear Free Planet. We hope this story will create peace in your heart, for your family, for community and for a more peaceful world.
VIEWER DISCRETION: Includes horrific death descriptions. Appropriate for mature 4th grade+ and runs 30 minutes. Available from Aug, 6 – 13 through Facebook and the Tateuchi Story Theatre webpage https://www.wingluke.org/tateuchi-story-theatre
